HOME - Welcome to Prospect Lake Park!

Hi there, campers! The name's Mallard Waddell and I am here to introduce you to Prospect Lake Park.

Located in the scenic Berkshires region of Massachusetts, Prospect Lake is a destination that appeals to campers of all species. I first discovered this park on my way north after spending the winter "down south." I'd gotten separated from my duck friends on the return trip, but it turned out to be a lucky break. The Palmatier family, the campground hosts, were kind enough to take me in once I landed on the pristine water of Prospect Lake. I was treated so well, in fact, I bought my own RV so that I could make the campground a regular stop during my annual migrations!

Open from the first weekend in May through October 15, Prospect Lake Park is set along 2000 feet of wooded lake shore and offers 140 shaded or sunny campsites plus fine cabin accommodations for those that don't have (or aren't traveling) with their own RV or tent.

Fun awaits the whole family at Prospect Lake - guaranteeing that the stresses of life will roll away like water off my back! If you're a lake-lover like me, you'll have a ball at the two swimming beaches. There's a dock full of rental boats waiting to serve your fishing and paddling desires. Not into getting wet? There's a picnic area set under the cathedral pines next to the main beach. Play games of basketball, tennis, volleyball, horseshoes and more while your "little quackers" have a great time at the children's playground.

The Recreation Hall is a fun gathering spot and hosts many of the scheduled activities. Bingo, dances, pot-lucks, live music and pancake breakfasts are just some of the highlights from their full program of events. Grab a quick bite at the Snack Bar and waddle on over to the Camp Store to pick up those camping necessities and niceties for your family.

Prospect Lake Park is always kept neat and tidy. The spic 'n' span bathhouses feature free hot showers and flush toilets. Keep your clothes just as tidy with a stop at the onsite laundry.
